Bta or clowns first?

Hi all, i'm in the process of cycling a 100g reef tank with 40kgs of live rock. My lfs has told me to wait the 8 weeks, depending on tests of course, then add the bta before I started adding the fish. From the reading i've been doing on here the experienced aquarists have said that it's best to get your fish and then wait 6 or 7 months for the tank to mature and become more stable. Does anyone support the lfs' idea or does everyone say wait for a bit of tank maturity?
Thanks in advance.

Lfs just waits to sale u livestock.. Gotta wait at least 6 months. I would find another lfs one who cares about there livestock

Ouch. Well research anything and everything before u buy anything. It will help u and any living thing u wanna buy. GL

In my short time in the hobby i have learned a lot but the one thing that i would pass along to any new hobbist is to research anything you want to buy yourself. Do not impulse buy in this hobby. Dont trust anything the LFS tells you no matter how trustworthy they are / seem. Just do the research yourself and it will be better for you and your livestock. Depending on the livestock you get you need to be sure that you have the proper set up. Just my .02. Good luck and hope you do well.

I have been reading through the mountain of information on this forum for hours each day for the last two weeks so yeah definately going to do as you all day rather then the lfs.
Thanks again for your comments.
