Hello, I was wondering how one might tell the difference between a Bubble tip Anemone and a Majano Anemone? I have a couple but I am not sure which they are. I will Post a picture as soon as I can, but in the meantime are there certain features one has and not the other?

Thank You

thats definately a bubble tip anemone. thats AWSOME. I was just about to start a thread, i was looking thru the live rock tub and one had a rock nem all bleached out. thinking i shoulda bought it for fun :)

No majano in the pic.....They are really small & breed like rabbits. They are also called Tulip Anenomes, pretty but a real pain in the *** if you are trying LPS-SPS corals. Remove them if possible IMHO.

you should feel special. they are fasinateing. you'll want to feed them, and your going to need good lighting to keep em happy

I've got 2 250watt halides 14k hamilton bulbs and 200 or so watts of pc and 2x110 vho's ...

I was/am feeding them a little piece of shrimp every 3 or so days

That's great. How big are they? It's difficult to tell by that picture. Also, you should be fine with that lighting for a BTA. Again, congrats and keep us posted on them.

I'd say they are a little smaller than an average sized blue devil damsel. Maybe 2 inches across...or so, just tiny little fellas. They were about 10 or 12 inches apart for a couple weeks then all of a sudden they went together.
