BTA overall health

I bought this BTA as part of a nice piece of live rock from my LFS. You can see in the first pic that it was a beautiful fluorescent pink :). Now it has changed color, in 2nd pic, just curious as to what everyone thinks of it and also what kind is it? Rose maybe?

first pic it was very bleached. 2nd pic it is beginning to darken up it looks like. This is good, it'll prolly end in a nice rose/red color.

first pic it was about to die....second pic its getting healthy and will color up soon.....most think they look better and healthier when they are actually about to die.....

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yes I knew it was bleached when I got it, but didn't know it was in that bad of shape. It has been residing under a Kessil A150 since I bought it. Coloring up nicely.

Quick update. As you can see, the BTA is doing great from the first pic when I bought it.

Thanks SJWitt,

The rock it was actually attached to when I bought it, of course still attached to, has a little hole that you can't see in the pic.

I suppose the BTA started to get too large for that hole and subsequently moved out of that spot over the weekend. I thought it was splitting at first, but it moved over about 2 inches outside of the hole it was in.

Doing very well. I never feed it deliberately. I always put frozen mysis in the water and kind of wave some of the food its way. It has responded very well to that and is coloring up nicely.

Probably the best luck with a BTA I have had in a while. I used RSCP mainly and have used it in my last couple of water changes. My corals always do well on that salt and I have no issue mixing it.
