BTA Problem

After 3 weeks in the tank my Anemone started to move... knowing that this may be a bad sign I tested the water (it all tested fine yesterday) For some reason I had a severe PH crash 7.2.... I added some buffer to the water ( the proper amount) and this is what he did... He keeps bouncing up and down...

is it a lta? try makeing a dent in the sand and putting it in it then putting a few rocks around it. your tank looks really clean. how old is it?

The guy describes it as a mature BTA and he usually has a good brow color.

Ive owned it for 4 months but the previous owner had it for 3 years with all the same stuff.

Did you trace the reason of the pH crash?

No trying to do that... I am switching from a 55 to a 72 with a sump today so hopefully whatever it is goes away

So the tank in total is 3 years old?

When you bought it from him, did you tank everything out of the tank, then re-set it up? If so, there could have been a mini-cycle, if you used fresh saltwater.

I thought this was the tank from your recent upgrade. I'm looking towards a cycle too but did you test your other levels, especially alk?

Ok everything switched tank sump lighting... I was worried about the ANe but I literally took time off of work to do the switch so I had to go thru with it... So far he looks amazing.. his mouth is tight and he is all puffed up.. at first he was bouncing around the tank like a pogo stick ive never seen anything like it LOL..
