BTA very small (for weeks now) after feeding

HI,
I've got a BTA, actually two of them (split several years ago) which was doing GREAT!. Both were HUGE, and my clown was happy. I used to feed them all the time. I got a new house, and put the reef on a back burner for a while, and didn't take great care of it. I took GOOD care, and kept up w/ water changes, but I didn't do things I didn't HAVE to do. So, one of the tasks I slacked on was feeding the anemones.
They were still doing great, growing, tentacles flowing happily under the bright lights. Then I fed them some small pieces of scallops, which is what I had always fed them in the past. I fed them maybe 3 times, a few days apart each time. Ever sense, they shriveled up and have been small w/ tentacles retracted. They're each about 1/3 to 1/4 the size they used to be, and have been this way for almost a month! It had been maybe a year since I last gave them solid food. Their clown did share some scraps w/ them over that time, but it wasn't a lot of solid food.

Does anyone know why this has happened, or what I can do about it???

thanks a lot for any help!!

It split years ago, and grew to many times its post-split size. It has been fine for years until I fed it. Water params are fine. I've tested everything. All of the other tank inhabitants are fine. Like I said, I keep up w/ weekly water changes.
So, as I said in my original post. Everything else is exactly the same except I fed it. Pre feeding both were HUGE and waving in the current. Post feeding both are tiny shriveled up.
It looks like they've deflated to poop, but they've been this way for 3 or more weeks now.
