BTA vs Hairy mushroom

I have 4, 4" hairy mushrooms about 3" from my BTA that is about 5" wide.
I'm sure in a few months they will touch so my question is will the BTA move or will the mushroom that is touching retract and move?

Both are very nice and I do know moving the hairy mushrooms can be some what tricky.
As for moving the BTA... not an option since its not dying.
