BTA vs LTA (what's the difference)?

Can anyone tell me, or link some good posts to read, on telling the difference between LTA's and BTA's?

I think I may have a LTA in my species specific BTA tank. It sure looks a lot like an unbubbled BTA in almost every manner. Any clue on how to tell the difference between the two?

If you have it narrowed down between LTA and BTA look for verracue on the underside of the disk. If it has verracue its not a BTA.

if the anemone has its foot buried in the sand you also can rule out Bubble tipped. Bubble anemones like to attach to rocks. also lta usually have a red foot.

Thanks for the info so far. I didn't get a chance to look for bumps on its foot before i put it in the tank. But it isn't in the sand and i don't recall it having a red foot either.

Many people have BTA's that look kinda like an LTA when they don't have bubbled tips.
I agree red foot, and buried in sand bed, unless light is weak, and that is pretty much the only time I've seen them on rocks.
