BTA with swollen mouth.

Bent

I got nothin'
One of my big BTAs recently split maybe 2 weeks ago, he was about the size of a dinner plate. (Which I ain't happy about, it was huge and gorgeous.) see below for a before pic:

Ever since the split, neither half have been as "happy" as the single one was. They both hide under overhangs and inflate and deflate almost every other day or so. See below. This was about 7 days post split:

Doing my nightly rounds with my flashlight, I noticed one of the split halves has a fairly enlarged mouth. They have both been eating well and I feed them twice a week, once with mysis and a turkey Baster, scallops, and raw cut shrimp. They are under two 16" reefbreeders. Blue channel at 60% and red/white at 30%. I have no par numbers. I know, for shame.

Here's a pic from tonight of the mouth:

What gives, think it's ok?

Water Params as of tonight:
Ca-416
Dkh-~8
Total P- 7ppb or around .021po4/ppm
No3-0 (stupid API test)

Currently running GFO and GAC.

even my healthy ones do that with their mouth from time to time. I think they may be randomly catching some kind of food. But I wouldn't worry...they seems to just be healing up. I understand the frustration of having a big beautiful show piece nem that suddenly becomes 2 or more little nuisances. lol. but soon enough they will all three be big and healthy again.
