I have been having a bubble algae outbreak in my tank. I had been removing the occasional ones when I noticed them, but now I am seeing some clusters of smaller ones pop up. Anything that will eat these?

Yes, Emerald crabs eat bubble. You may want to reduce your feeding an up you water changes. It may help your nutirent export.

removing them by hand is the best way to get rid of them in my opinion. I have heard that emerald crabs will eat it, but they have to break it to eat it, so wouldn't that release more into the tank system.

Yea, I was traveling for work lately and got behind on my water changes and the nitrates and phosphates started to creep up a little. That may be why the increase in numbers lately. Have been doing regular water changes and additional filtration and those values have improved but will try adding an emerald or two to see if it helps.

Thanks for the responses!
