Bubble Algae

I don't know, but I do have a bubble algae experience that may be helpful. I started getting some when I first started my reef tank, so I got some emerald crabs to help control it. I went through a few crabs, and I think you need multiple to control it. I tried removing all the bubble algae, but it would keep coming back. It started growing more and more, but it eventually just stopped. Now in my reef tank, I have a bunch of bubble algae that just doesn't spread at all. Bubble algae can be frustrating because it will grow in the lowest nutrients, and is very hard to get rid of. I have no idea why mine stopped growing, but I think it might be because the tank had a chance to establish itself and get all the nutrients in balance.
