Bubble alge

My tank is about 8 months old and i have not had a bubble algae problem till now. What causes this and what is the best way to deal with this outbreak?

Just get an emerald crab. They love to graze on bubble algae.

If there's only a few I'd try to pluck them out manually if you can -- without popping them of course. If you get an emerald crab it'll pop the bubbles and potentially spread the spores and then you'll never be rid of it. I had a few when I first started and I plucked them. Haven't seen one since
