Bubble Algea

Ok this stuff is taking over my tank. WHY????? i do not feed much so it not all the left over food causing it what can I do to make it quit growing. I am woried that the disteled water I use for cvhanges and top off might be hurting it. I dont know the disolved solids in it and I dont have a rodi. Any ideas other that buy a rodi? I have thought about adding a hang on refugium but I am looking for a used cheap one.

Go to a lfs with a few 5 gallon containers and buy water from them already rodi

come over with a few 5 gallon buckets with lids you can have some water. just give me a call i am home most all evenings. let me know a day ahead of time so i can make enough to give you.

That's the main one that I used. It's pretty straight forward. I got some aquarium silcone from Ace Hardware for like $4. The only thing I didn't do yet was cut down the impellers. I don't feel like buying new ones so I'll just cut mine down to reduce flow if it's too much through the filter.

They recommend using the large aquaclear 500's or what are now 110's. I used a 200.

It took me approximately 30 minutes to put this together.

I used and Azoo flexy light for lighting it. I built it today so it won't be in the tank until probably Tuesday.

Did any of those frags make it? The three frags that I got (3 or 4 polyps each) are all gone. No idea where they went and they never opened up. oh well.

monday is fine i get off work at about 5:00 of course i only live a block from work. let me know. i will take all the frags you have just kidding bring what ever i do not have any you listed.

you can have all the water you want. i do not pay for it anyway. the water meter i have is old and it takes more volume than my ro unit uses to turn the meter so the water just goes throught the meter without turning it.

what harm are fox faces--if that is correct, besides eating the bubble algae, are they reef safe or aggressive or??
