Bubble algea

I have some bubble looking algea forming on the wall of my 60 gallon tank that has been established 7 months. This algea is perfect round boobles about 1/4 of a cm in diameter. That is what I think they are and they are green to clear. Are these things bad and how did they start showing up.

They started showing up by being introduced on one of your rocks/corals. Are they bad??? Not really, but they look ugly...they dont really do anything though. I've got a couple, but as long as they're not growing fast/spreading, i'm not touching them.

Do not pop them, that will just spread them (i found that one out!)

Are they in a place that an emerald crab could get to? If they are, i'd suggest a small emerald

Personally, I'd get rid of them before they multiply. I had a small patch in my tank and I left it alone. Eventually, it multiplied in that area and one day, an accidental bump broke the patch open and my tank was infested. I got an emerald crab, but he just made it worse. They break open the balls and eat the contents, but spores get released all over the tank. Eventually, I had to pull the liverock and scrub it down. Since it's on the glass of your tank, take the tube from your siphon hose, start a siphon into a bucket, and gently scrape the bubbles off the tank wall with the hose. Hopefully, the siphon will remove the bubble algae spores and all.

2 small emeralds has made all the difference in my 40. I've always got 1 or 2 here and there since you'll never get rid of them all, but they keep them really in check. If they're on the glass...they should be a bit easier to remove, so do try that

Any thing else take care of this stuff. I have had an emerald for several months and the bubles are starting to show up every where. A friend use to have them and they would smother out coral eventualy and he had a naso that ate it all up. I was wondering if any one else had a solution to this besides more emeralds?
