Bubble Coral help

Over the weekend I picked up a used 300 gallon DD aquarium from a reefer exiting the hobby. One of the corals that I acquired was a bubble coral that looks...ok, it looks horrible.
I've never had a bubble coral although I do keep other SPS and LPS in my current DT.
I got this coral home, acclimated and into a QT tank but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to try to save it. If it was an SPS I'd seriously consider fragging the dead part but I'm not really sure what to do with this guy (or even if there is anything that can be done).
Suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Just set it aside and forget about it and one day you'll look at it and it will be growing back more flesh.. Don't frag it. They are hardy and if there is still a bubble or two it will regenerate.

It will be a very long time to recovery, but I would stick it in the back/side in low light and flow and hope for the best
