bubble coral regeneration

Hi, as usual my bubble coral got damaged during I guess shipping. I have had it for about a month mabe? but anyhow...

can these corals regrow the tissue over the exposed "plates" of their skeleton?

it opens up just find and large during the day but at night a lot of the plates are exposed.

Same thing happened to mine , it got damaged in the process of shipping. There was alot of skeleton exposed. Well it ended up growing very small bubbles on the dead parts of the skeleton. Now those bubbles are the same size as the rest of the bubble coral. So to answer your question, in my experience they do regrow tissue over the exposed plates.
