Bubble coral trouble

What are these--and could they have harmed the bubble coral--I had it right beside them like the other two corals--and they seem ok?

This is a second attempt a bubble coral--the first I lost because it was too high in the tank--then I moved where the zoos are--but moved it to the bottom when the ?? where starting to crawl on it.

Which things were you referring to?

You mean the mini carpet anemone's? If so, they never seemed to bother anything.

They don't look like majano but maybe are pest anemones like that? they could very well have bothered it. Try putting some joe's juice or kalkwasser paste on them to see what happens - unless they have a skeleton but I doubt it. they almost look like a kind of mushroom but then again mushies and anemones are close relatives.

thanks--I think they are carpet anemomies-if they are not going to bother anything then I will keep them.
any suggestions why the one side of the bubble stressed out---I know they like low level light and flow--but are they irritated by the argonite--the clarkie is always throwing sand in its face?

IME like most anemones they can sting your corals. Looks to me though your bubble coral is being covered with sand and this will stress and kill them

consider it moved---thanks:)

Granted I don't feed my bubble

I feed them cyclopeeze twice a week. I wait for the halides to go off and that period where the attinics are still on(one hour)

Stichodactyla tapetum

Do a search on Gary Majchrzak and mini carpet anemones and it's pretty interesting how these got spread around.

I would take a small piece of smooth rubble, ceramic tile, or a bit of pvc to set the bubble on to get it elevated and out of the sand. Sand will irritate it and normally I think they can inflate to remove it, but in a weakened state it probably hurts more than helps :(

Wow, I guess I over-feed then - I feed mysis and pellets (meaty foods)

if you don't have an algae/phosphate problem then IMO you are not over feeding :)
