Bubble counter fluid

Anyone use anything other then water in their Bubble counter? Was wondering if there was something around the house that could be used that might be a little thicker and make it easier to tune it in with the needle valve ? Let me know .

Mineral oil is a thick clear liquid, you could try that. I think that is what "bubble counter liquid" is, when it is marketed as that.

A lot of reactors are set up so, that as you fill them, the bubble counter gets filled.
I'd stick with water.
