Bubble Level For Nano Skimmer

what is the recommended level for the "major" bubbling area on the tunze 9002 nano?

I think 8" is the ideal but 7.5-8.5 is OK. This is off the top of my head so I would double check the website or your manual. I am in Germany and don't have my manuals handy.

should the water be boiling in the neck of the cup or at the entry to the neck?

It depends on the water quality and how long it has been running. It needs a week to break in.

thanks roger, it's only been 3 days. i can see some brown in the bubbles, so i guess it is starting to work. should i keep the bubbles at the manufactures initial break in level ( lower portion of the cup ). or should i adjust the air volume to have the bubbles rise into the neck of the tube more?

I would just be sure the venturi screw is open about 3 turns and after a week make adjustments daily in 1/4 turn increments until you get a tea colored skimmate, opening it for more/lighter.
