Bubble magus curve 7 problem

Picked up a bubble magus curve 7 used, broke it down and cleaned it out. Now the bubbles will not reach the skimmer neck even with the adjustment all the way closed. What should i check. Skimmer is in just over 9" of water. Even with the adjustment all the way closed and the airline blocked it will barely reach the cup.

I'd give it a few days to break in. My Curve 7 runs awesome

Note the Numbers are kinda Backwards for other skimmers, The Lower the Number the More Bubbles.

Also make sure the bubble plate is in the right place, (Holes away from pump outlet)

I had the opposite issue with my new curve 7. Overflowed for the first 4-5 days but has settled down since and running great.
Just give it some time and keep an eye on it.
Maybe you have an extremely clean tank!

Think most skimmers do that now and again my Reef Octopus does it too. Clean mine and only fills half way up. Then a few hours or day later it fixes itself. Make sure no water in air line. Etc.

I think about it this way, minimum means minimum size bubbles, maximum is maximum size bubbles. Smaller the bubbles, the more the increase in height. Don't know if there is any logic in it, but it keeps the numbering schema in my head. Took me awhile to wrap my head around as well, but its a very nice skimmer. Running mine now for over a year on a 150 gallon.
