I have a NAC 7 its in about 8 inches of water, I cant get it turnned in at all .... How far up the neck should the bubbles be? and how long is the supposely break in period for new skimmers?

How long have you had it running? I've had a BK skimmer for over a month and its just now starting to pull a little. I know how you feel and its frustrating...get a top of the line skimmer, expecting it to pull all kinds of crap out, only to have it go up then down, then over flow, then down again. I've been told to just be patient and it will calm down.

Interesting. I'm now on my second BM and experienced narry a problem with either. Ran both in about 9" of water and got them dialed in within a day. I have the bubble column inside the skimmer set to just above the bottom of the collection cup. Sorry to hear you are having problems with it. Maybe set the bubble column just below the bottom of the neck and let it run for a couple days?

This is just a couple of days after setup of my newest.

I found the most important thing for my NAC 7 to work properly is constant sump water level. If you don't have an ATO system, you need to install one.

I'm starting to get it turned in.... right now it starting to pull some stuff... Looks like a nasty rootbeer float... water level has been a issue I did some modifications to the sump... And my NAC 7 is sitting in about 8 inches of water..

pics or it didn't happen ;)

Glad to hear you're getting dialed in. I've been very pleased with the BM skimmers. Hope you get similar results.
