Bubble tip anenome challenge! Can I make it bubble up??

I agree with Akida, need to do a narrative of what you've done and then document what you'll be doing. Maybe adding to one video instead of a series. Maybe start with the one you have there and add to it if you can? One comprehensive video would be awesome IMO

The next video will show those 2 nems still side by side only the one I pointed out will be bubbled up. The following video will show how I cause it to happen. I can usually make it happen in a day or so so won't be long for next vid

I can't believe no one has cracked this before. It's so simple. I made that vid last night and I'd almost be willing to bet that tonight when I get home that nem I pointed out is still right beside the other one but it will be showing its bubbles while the other is still stringy.

There's no trickery. Watch the video. I will do another tonight or tomorow night and you'll see that I was able to cause the one I pointed out to bubble up.

If no trickery...why not simply list out the steps you took?? Why only show before and after video's??

Explain what you found to work, and why you feel it worked...that way we can all learn from your efforts.

$9.99 for one trick but wait if you order now we will double it all you have to do is pay extra shipping and handling cost of $5.99. Lol

JK... I am sure he will reveal the secret I think he is just building up the excitement.

I know this is an old thread but I think I stumbled on how to get stringy ones to bubble up. Mine have always been long and stringy. I started with one a few years ago and it has split a bunch of time and I've never really seen any bubble up. Right now I have 6 of them in my 350. 2 of them were in slots I wanted them to move from so I literally started poking at them with my reef tongs to try to **** them off enough to get them to move. And I mean poke at them. I jabbed at them till I couldn't get them anymore cause they were all retracted into there rock. Well to my delight the 2 I poked at are all bubbled up now. First time ever that they've been bubbled. That's what did it for me. Kinda like an earlier post that said they only bubble when stressed. Do you guys with bubbled up nems have lots of hermits? Do you guys with stringy ones have hardly any hermits? I got a theory is why I ask. I'll do a vid to show my 6 soon. Lights are out now :)

If that is indeed what he is doing to get his anemone's to bubble....that is sad. It is sad to think a person would intentionally stress out, and risk physical harm to a creature just to get it to change appearance.

I would much rather have a happy anemone that doesn't bubble over jabbing at one with a pair of tongs to make it more attractive..... Is that's your secret then please keep it to yourself.

IME when an anemone is happy you'll know it, bubbles or not. I've found that every time I acclimate a new bta it bubbles up but as it starts to feel more comfortable it goes boner tentacle and sprouts out. This guy was bubbled up when I had him in my tank in the acclimation box on the sand bed but as soon as I placed him in rock work he went longer tentacle but still looks great. The bubble look is awesome but difficult to achieve in most tanks especially due to higher flow.
