Bubble tip help

Long story short, have had this Bubble tip for a while. As soon as I got it, it started going downhill. Lost 1/4 of its tentacles, and barely extends. Its still firmly attached to the rock but won't eat any more. Lighting is mars aqua Chinese led box. I'll get params later, but recently tested and all levels were acceptable.
For reference I have all kinds of coral in the tank, as well as 3 rock flowers and a H Crispa all extremely happy and feeding regularly. This is the only piece struggling. Pics below. Please help, I'd like to not lose this guy.

Also, 90% of the time the mouth is tightly closed, about once every two days the mouth gapes severely for about an hour.

That's just weird! Of course I have two doing something weird as well that nobody can seem to figure out. It falls under the **** happens saying

Someone has to have gone through this before.

I moved it higher in the tank and bumped the whites up, hopefully that helps. Its still not eating. Tried mysis last night, will try shredded table shrimp tonight.

Looked like this when I got home. Should I pull it? Its not showing any signs of recovery and I have NO idea what's wrong with it.

sorry to say but it's on it's way out.

I had 2 inferno BTAs that did this. very weird. I contributed the issue to lighting. While all my other nems are doing great in the tank, the infernos were expelling zoo daily. They were huge before until they expelled out all their zoo. Turned into your picture. Just a flat plate without any tentacles. This took about 1 month of time. Afterwards, it finally moved to the shade and fell off the rocks. melted..

I attempted infernos twice.. both times ended up the same. every nem is different so it's hard to tell you what to do.

if all your parameters are stable and your tank is old enough.. it could be your chinese led box. any other nems in your tank?

I never really got my answer either..

Yea I've got 4 other nems in the tank all doing great. 15 min after that picture it's mouth was closed again. But no tentacle extension still.

mine would have its mouth closed all day too. But at night, it would open up and start expelling...

I've lowered my Kessils to 40%.. then switched to a ATI lighting tank.. nothing helped..

It's more than likely an infection. You can try dosing it with antibiotics per the instructions in the sticky above. Might as well do it as a last attempt. Like I said it's not dead yet. Check with your local LFS and see if they have any antibiotics you can try. I wouldn't be too picky on which one as long as you try one.

it's worth a shot to take it out and do a cipro treatment. I said i was going to do it if my 2nd one turned out bad. But of course I did the "let's wait one more day and see". nope...

however, I don't think it's an infection because he has other BTAs that's doing perfectly fine, same as my situation.

I have and am experiencing this too, oddly one was an inferno (that I lost) and am fighting to keep another from doing the same. They expelled zoo daily and are withering. I'm moving to a 29 in about 15 min and begging cipro. I'm debating treating all my btas, odds are they all have it even if not showing signs. The others will infect on reintroduction otherwise.
