Bubble tip help

I would use a clay pot or a bowl.. you just killed that live rock. you are going to end up with 7 dead rocks after.

The nem has been attached to this rock for months with no signs of moving, that's why I put it in there with it.

well I'm no expert on this so take this just as an opinion.

The bacteria on the rock will die instantly.. so the only thing that rock can do is create ammonia from things decaying. a plate or pot can be cleaned. The rock can be hiding all sorts of nasties..

I chose to use Amoo's QT method, which is tank transfer, with new sterilized equipment every time.

I've had my shares of ich, flukes and sick nems.. I guess I'm a little over the edge when it comes to QTing. LOL

I see what you mean now. I would have definitely put the nem in there with something like a cup, or some egg crate if possible. But I figured it would be even more stressful to pull it off the rock my force. It looks happy for now, might even be moving off the rock we will see. If so I'll slap some egg crate in there instead. Will be monitoring ammonia incase anything goes astray.

Also, wondering if all the bacteria on the rock would really die. If not, it could just be helping filter out any unwanted ammonia spikes? Idk just guessing here.

Super ****ed. Tested ammonia cause it discharged some zoox. Still 0 ammonia so that's good.

Day 2
WC 1
No change in behavior, spitting up some gunk which is normal I heard. The adventure continues...

That's gotta just be a coincidence. I've read tons of great reviews about the Mars aqua. Plus I have 4 other anemones in the tank doing great.

Day 3
Wc 2
7:00pm
Getting worse every day. Should I be seeing progress? Is this normal?

All of the ones I've seen being treated looked worse before they get better. It's purging itself. I would think in the next few days you'll see improvement. Just make sure you run the full cycle of Cipro until it's complete. Don't short it by a day or two, just like when you take antibiotics its for x number of days and you need to take them that x number of days.

Make sure you have good flow in that tank.

Well that's good. I got pretty worried. Flow is decent, not too strong. Keeps things moving in there. It's day 3 of treatment so hopefully I'll see some recovery soon.

Yes it looks a lot better.

The reason I mentioned earlier about running the full dose is, I believe you were getting to the place where you would say "it's not working and my anemone is looking worse, maybe I should stop the treatment" I was trying to help you stop those thoughts ;)

I look at it this way, the treatment will either cure them or kill them and they would die anyway without it.

I wouldn't extend it. There is a reason for the length of time, which I assume has been determined to be what is needed to kill off the bad bacteria.

Day 5
Wc 4
4:30pm

The wife said it hasn't gaped at all today. It's looking much fuller, and overall BETTER. Hoping the trend continues.
