Thank you in advance!

New to the Hobby. Have a param checked thriving reef 29g Biocube. Truelumen 12" dual LED lighting upgrade. 12k/453 & 453nm, Refugium, Wave maker, skimmer, ato, with all the dossing essentials on deck.
no fish currently. cleaner crew active.

I have been doing some research, in general i understand all nems move around and find their preferred spot (cant hate). I have some frags already placed in the tank.. about 13.. Torch coral, Elegance, and Hammer coral present.

although nice aesthetically and its important symbiotic relationship..
i was wondering if i should avoid the stress all together and let some clowns house the coral i mentioned above?..
heres the the tank today. elegance coral pic also ..about 4" diameter

it is situated away from most other specimens.. i know they can get vicious.. placed her under the inflow vent away from glass and wall with ample space to get a bit bigger.

think some clowns will be happy with my current set up.. or will anemone make my clowns happier?

Ive seen clowns host elegaces no problem, bta nems seams to all have their own personalities, they like to move, if you do get one put a foam guard on your wave maker. I have a 20g aio, and 2 bta's and a smaller gig anemone, all my clowns goto the gig anemone over the other bta's. 1 have 3 clowns 2 paired IP, and host the gig anemone, the thirds just keep fighting and insistingly wants to join the party even though their are 2 other anemones to choose.

@kws--seems like you have seen a bit of nem movement.. you think a bta might like that scooped pocket in my rock on bottom right of pic above..? thanks for the input.

It's almost impossible to get a BTA to settle in your chosen spot. They move around a lot even if you're providing them with near-perfect conditions.

Good idea if you're set on having a lot of expensive corals. This was the only reason I got rid of my BTA which was my favourite - a beautiful rose- greenish 14" nem that ate whatever I offered but moved too frequently.

@rt7- Maaaaann.. 14" !!?? i do want a couple clownfish.. seems like i have to take a chance and hope these guys dont kill my coral. i read they can be rough little guys too

Some clowns can harm corals if they get a taste for them. Luckily I haven't experienced this. I just target feed mine until they're stuffed and happy.

They have minds of their own. I run a mp10 wake maker, and at night it runs slower , sometimes one of the bta's roams at night.. And BT morning has back on his uauall spot
