hey everyone. any of you have any advice on what to feed and how often to feed a bubble tip. i would be greatful. i'm feeding raw shrimp currently but no matter what i do i can't seem to get him to bubble up. thanks:smokin:

Could be a number of things. Water parameters, lighting, tank maturity, and I've read that some just simply wont bubble up. I feed all my anemones about once a week. Silversides to the bigger guys and krill to the smaller ones. Hope that helps.

sometimes i go awhile without feeding and just randomly they get bubbles and sometimes they dont have them. so its hit or miss. but recently i started dosing alk, ph, calcium, iodine, magnesium and dt's and they started going crazy with bubbles and size. so might want to try that.

I read somewhere that they are stretching for food....think it was the Foster Smith catalog hehehe. Anyway lifeswork might be on to something...it may be a water parameter/food thing.

yeah, I have heard its hit or miss with the bubbles. I have had some that bubble and others that didnt.

We have had some that changing from a mature tank to a brand new tank, but keeping consistent on the feeding has caused them to bubble.

BTW in case anyone mentions it the whole, its a clone it wont bubble thing is a myth.

I thought I read in a thread someplace that they bubble to increase the surface area which causes a production of more food by the zooanthelae.

I have also read that they bubble when they are stressed so I guess what I am saying is pick whichever one sounds good to you;)
