Bubbles/Debris in DT

Hello!

I have an issue with unsightly bubbles/debris floating neat the top of my tank. It appears be coming out of my sump feed. This is a 55 gallon DT with an overflow box leading to a 10 gallon sump with protein skimmer and I also have a canister filter hooked up. If I use a sock filter on the end of the pipe leading to my sump from my overflow, will this prevent these bubbles and or debris?

Are you sure the return pump isn't sucking the bubbles up from the drain tube? You may move it to another spot and solve your problem. I have had that happen before.

I just set up my tank for the first time and was testing the plumbing and have tons of microbubbles also. Here is a video. Thoughts?
