bubbles in the sump?

like the subject said, I have bubbles in the sump. I finally plumbed my tank and there are tons of bubbles. It's almost like a protein skimmer. The bubbles are coming from the overflow through the pvc and into the sump. Is there too much water movement (flow)or what? I have to clean off an area of the sump everyday.

I'll try to post pictures when I get home.

you have air getting through a pvc joint. Why are you worried about bubbles in your sump and why do you clean them? Good luck

it causes a lot of foaming in the sump. Not sure why I clean it other that it reminds me of all the gunk that a protein skimmer produces.
