Bubbles Nuclear

It just sounded familiar -- I think it's from the Jetsons!

I have a macro only tank I've had set up for awhile and I recently added a lot of new macros -- and a macro nutritional suppliment (something with Phosphates and Nitrates specifically to grow macro) but now I have bubbles everywhere. The Codium is SO covered it floated to the top pulling a rock up with it.

The prolifera is also covered in bubbles and to a lesser extend -- the glass where a thin diatom film is starting.

Is this oxygen from photosynthesis? I turkey baster them away and they are back in a few hours.

Any suggestions??

I am not running co2 but running a wet/dry ie: nitrate factory.

I get these little micro bubbles on my algea too It due to gass exchange and a byproduct of photosythesis. Its a good sing as it means your plants are growing.

My codium floats too because to this. I have to keep it tied to a large rock. Although I just see these microbubbles toward the end of the day when they've had hours of light to convert.

If you add a bit more flow that should help knock the bubles off.

Thanks a ton!

I was going crazy because there are SO many -- but the tank does have a very mild flow. I will take your suggestion and increase the flow and maybe use some larger anchor rocks for the codium.
