Bubbles on Euroreef skimmer output

A while back a snail shell got stuck in the end of my Euroreef CS6-2+ while I was out of town. I took the pump to my LFS and they sold me a new magnet, axle and the plastic piece that creates the microbubbles. The excessive heat warped the old magnet. It worked fine for a while. But, now, there are a bunch of bubbles coming out of my skimmer output which is creating splashing and water noise. If I put my finger over the end of the air tube and then release, the skimmer seems okay for a while, then bubbles will later return.

Any suggestions?

The venturi could be clogged with salt, try sticking the air tube into the water to flush it out.

I tried dipping it in a cup of fresh water. That didn't fix it.

Heat a cup of fresh water in the micro wave and give it a try. It works for me.
