Bubbles???

I have been doing some reading and keep coming across people complaining about micro bubbles??? I don't understand what there talking about..... are they saying bubbles period are not good to have in a reef system??? my AC 110 makes quite a bit of bubbles while dropping water back into the tank. Is this bad or have I misunderstood??

micro bubbles are just that "little bubbles". The problem is they are in the Display tank. I have then now, (coming from my darn skimmer) its a problem ONLY because they look bad. The bubbles are so small that they make the water look fuzzy/unclear

Yeah... after cleaning my tank this last weekend, I must have bumped the skimmer or something attached to the skimmer that caused an connection to come loose. Now I have thousands of tiny little bubbles in my display tank after having almost none my first three years of the set up!

I have already checked the main attachment (from the pump into the skimmer) and have confirmed that one is not loose. The only other attachment is to the (I'm not sure of the technical term) "outflow" where the water spills over into the sump.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this would be great.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have the same problem in my new 75. The source of the bubbles must be on the intake side of the plumbing that has negative pressure pulling air into the system. If the leak were on the output/outflow side that has positive pressure a leak would be noted. I have double clamped all but two hose connections and still have microbubbles. I will update/monitor this post for progress. Hope that helps.

I am having problems with bubbles also, even after my Baffles in my sump tiny micro bubbles are making their way to the return pump. The bubbles are created from the water coming down the overflow and crashing into the sump.

My drain is all hard PVC, Would using spa flex under the tank be better? I would prefer not to use a Filter Sock.... Any suggestions ?
