Budding or Splitting???BTA Question

2 weeks ago I had 1 beautiful BTA. It hosted a saddleback and was very healthy. now I have 4 equally healthy BTA's. What Happened? Is this normal. I know BTA's split but 4 anemones from 1? They are all healthy and I can't find the mouth on any of them yet. But they are moving around and finally settled. I heard of budding but also that it is very rare. Any comments?

The mouth may take about 3 weeks or so for the mouth to split. Same situation happened to me. How large of an anemone was the mother anemone that split into four anemones?

It wasn't very large. It was about 6 inches across when fully open. It seems the 4 new anemones got comfortable because they havn't moved in a while. I just never saw 1 split into 4 before
