Buddy for my eel

Hi all, been looking for a pal or two for my snowflake eel recently, as you can imagine the tank activity during the day has been pretty dull. I have a 55g fowlr with just a 14" snowflake eel in there at the moment. I would like to get something that is active and compatible with my little guy, but also something that eats the same frozen shrimp and the very occasional feeder goldfish minnow. I considered a lionfish, but wanted a fish a little more active. Any ideas? Also budget is somewhat important:hmm4:.

Dwarf puffers were great for my eel fred before he committed suicide also a flame angel was content to be with the eel (same kind as yours). Also fred didnt eat my percula clowns, but I may have just gotten lucky there with a peaceful eel, and I have heard you can get another ell to hang with him/her if you want, but that wouldnt really help with day activity or activeness in general.

Sounds good I've been thinking about a dwarf angel I had one in the past and it didnt go well but that was with a different eel a while back...

I was going to suggest a dwarf angel. Lots of movement and really some of my favorites. I have a flame now and have had a cherub in the past. What didn't go well in the past.

Well I think I just had an unlucky coral beauty angel but after about a week the angel started to try and pick a fight with my eel and a month later after i tried to get them to chill out the angel didn't make it with some bite marks on it's side . They were the only ones in the tank at the time.

I do like angels and flame angels are one of my personal faves
