Buffering top off

And gave it a try. Not exactly as it is shown here, but I added some aragonite sand to my top off container.

Now this is probably not new at all, but this was the first I heard of it. Fresh RO/DI has a PH of 7, so should be low enough to dissolve the calcium carbonate.

So far the results have been very good. I usually struggle to keep my PH around 8.2, it usually floats between 8.15 to 7.99, with the dosing. Tonight I came home and it has been rock solid at 8.23.

Adding the sand (more like gravel) to the topoff container must have buffered the water just enough. I love these cool little tips. Just thought I'd share.
