hello, i just bought a used acrylic tank and it has some scratches in it. it is currently still empty and i was wondering what i could use to get rid of these scratches before i start setting it up. i did a search on here and found a lot of random topics, most of which were dates several years ago. so i was wondering if anyone could give some techniques and products to purchase so that i can get to work on this. thank you very much!

I may buy a scratched tank one day just to test the idea of just using car bermuda wax along with buff pads.

You just have to consider cleaning out residual chemicals afterwards.
I love RC but sometimes wish a part of it was a static homepage with links to read up on.

Others may just advise on using very fine high count sand paper.

I just did this to a 90 gallon and wrote up a thing on how to get the scatches out and stuff let me find it.

I used a product called Novus on my tank, it worked pretty well. You can look it up on google shopping. Make sure you get a set with Novus 1 2 and 3.

You can use it in combination with really fine grit sand paper. (over 1500 if you can find it) To get most scratches out.

Keep in mind this is a lot of work though.
