Bugs on Zoas

Hi all,
I recently bought my first zoanthid frag and had a few questions. They seem to be happy and doing well. All polyps extended during the day and color seems to be nice. At night time though I see a bunch of little clear teeny tiny bugs on them. Almost 99.9% sure they are just pods, some being larger than others, but they crawl all over them and when I shine a flashlight they all take off. I have researched the spiders and nudibrancs (sp) and it doesn't look anything like them. I guess my question as a newbie in the coral game is whether or not this is normal or a problem. They don't seem to bother them and they open fully during the day (except the occasional one that doesn't open but does the next day). I would think since they seem happy I have nothing to worry about but I guess I am just being a cautious parent here! :lolspin:

Oh, and if anyone knows if these have a name that would be cool to know too! :)

You can always get a Mandarin fish to help control the amphipod population.

I bought a Scooter Blenny today. From my understanding, they eat them also and are actually a dragonet like a Mandarin, correct? My only concern is that the bugs only seem to show up at night and disappear when the lights come on. I hoe he will hunt at night

Don't you need a HUGE population of pods to support a mandarin though? I read that they will die in younger tanks. Being able to see some pods at night doesn't mean there is enough to support a mandarin, right?
