I'm buidling a sump for my 120g.
I have a choice between a 300g or 150g stock tank.
Is there significant pluses of going bigger or 150g will be plenty and 300g is overkill.

150 will be plenty. The 300g would be nice in that it will significantly increase water volume and all the good things that come with it, but man! That's a lot of top-off and space.

i would say a 60 gallon stock tank will be fine.. The more water volume the more work if you run into a water issue.. But just think the Refugium you could do in a 300 gallon tank...Not to mention have some Nice big fish.. .

150 would be fine.

The 300 will REALLY increase your work.

It's worth if it was your display though ;)
