Hi guys! I'm new one, rookie in this activity but a complete fan, I want to set a new 120 gal fresh water, I will use sand and some stones and...I want to plant it and I was reading several websites and saw Build My LED, I got totally fascinated and I'm thinking to buy a 20000 K Reef Spetrum XB series in my freshwater tank. What do you think about? Am I crazy or right? I want to get very good growing in my plant but maybe I'm wrong, I appreciate your comments, thanks!:wavehand:

You don't want 20000k for plants. They have fixtures for plants with the proper color spectrum. If you don't like the yellow look, 10000k would be the max I would go for freshwater planted.

Really I don't like too much the yellow look, I prefer white with some blue...then if I use 20000K I'll kill my plants?? Bcs I love that spectrum!

you need about 5500 spectrum for freshwater plants or less for some. They do not like the BRIGHT White and Blue lites we use for reef tanks. we have a 72 gal semi planted Freshwater tank. and have 7000k bulbs and the plants did better with the cheap stock lights that come with tanks

...mmmmmm....I was wrong then, well, I want a wide spectrum light for my fresh water tank and Build My LED look good, do you have some suggestions about what kind of light from Build My LED is plenty for me?
