Building a new sump

Building my new sump tonight. Dimensions are 13w-16l-12 deep. Water level will be at 8 inches. Has to hold my Eshopps 120 skimmer and Sicce 2.5 return pump. Not sure how to do the baffles since it has such a small foot print. Any ideas. Not sure if I'll bother with a fuge either. Any tips on what all I should add/not add. The tank is 40 gallons an will house mushrooms and anemones.

What are you building the sump out of? Acrylic or an existing glass tank?

It's all acrylic. Box is already built just have to add baffles. Pretty sure I'll just go Berlin style on it so I have more space.
