Building a stand

Hey everyone, I just bought a new IM 20gal NUVO and I want to build a stand for it. The thing is i wouldnt know where to start since I have never built a stand before. I couldnt really find anything in the DIY section of the forum. Anyone have a thread on building a stand??

Rocket Engineer's design will work, but is way overkill - it could probably hold about 50 of your tanks. a 20 gallon tank will only be a couple hundred pounds even with with water, rock & sand figured in. I would look at using plywood or other construction methods.

4x8 sheet of ply. Straight edge. Pocket hole jig. Pencil. Saw (circular, jig, hand). Titebond 2 or 3.

If you want to put trim pieces you can use a miter box for the 45 degree cuts on trim and a hand saw. Finish nails can be put in with tack hammer.

Nice to have:

work table, clamps, 18 ga nail gun (trim pieces), patience.
