Skimmer-AquaMaxx Cone 3 In-Sump Protein Skimmer (rated at 550 gallons)

Planning on shallow sand bed in DT, possibly DSB in refugium. May try DSB with mangroves in the 15 gallon. Marco rock from BRS. Undecided on reactors or dosing (need to do more research).

As the tank is 96x36x23 I was originally going to pick it up in my pick up (ABF would have loaded it). I would have driven it home and wait for my two kids ages 17 and 21 bring some friends loaded with testosterone to move the tank. However, as the crating is soo massive the 48" width crate probably would not fit in my 48" width truck (too close!).

Contacted moving company. Dream is coming home APRIL 4, 2012.

Prior to tank being placed on the stand, the stand builder made sure it was level and used numerous non compressing shims.

The stand builder also placed several temporary braces to help prevent the stand from moving during the process of placing tank on.

Some education:
There are many google hits and discussions on the Internet regarding which is clearer-acryllic or starphire glass. I had never came across the info
I would like to share with you until I called Miracles in a panic.

This is a pic looking through the 72" of 3/4 inch acryllic tank that I recently sold. It extremely clear.

This is a pic looking through the 96" of 3/4 inch starphire tank. It shows the green tint next to the perfectly clear triangular brace on the top.

This is a pic of a website sent to me from Miracles. It is the glass company in pa (huray) that miracles used for my tank. It shows the difference between starphire and regular glass- by comparing the hues at different lengths, not by looking through the glass into the tank. Hope that makes sense. So yes my glass is starphire and is clearer than regular glass and just as clear as acryllic.
