Good to hear. What type of LEDs do they use where they can get away with under driving them? If one added a fan wouldn't it be possible to bump them up?

I am buying my 4th one used from a member here on RC, no problems so far. My oldest light is 19 months , I have two regular and one XB with the new/used one coming in is an XB. There is a big difference between the two, not sure why the regular one is still made?

lower power driver cheaper to make, and runs cooler, more efficiently, better in my book than the higher power models.

Under driving LED's makes them run more efficiently. There for less heat and more light per watt, doesn't matter what type of LED all work the same way in this sence, but they are using luxeon and semi emitters for what it's worth.

Adding a fan for higher power just means that if your fan fails so does the whole light. that is the draw back with fixtures like the radion, AI, and kessil.

Picking up an 18" Green Algae Fuge XB fixture from them in about 2 hours :)

Nice being in Austin :P

Haven't used their fixtures before, but my cheap Chinese fuge light decided to go all strobe light this morning and I needed a new light pronto...

Bumping this thread.

Im looking at adding these to my tank. I currently have a hybrid mh/led/t5 fixture but the LEDS went out. My tank is 32" wide, and I run 2 coral + bulbs concurrently with the leds.

I'm thinking of running 3 12k BML strips along with the t5s. Any opinions? I also plan on running them 6hrs a day

Here's my 6 month old 125 lps tank with 1 14k xb fixture. It grows lps well at 100%. Thinking about adding some t5's down the road.
