Bulb anemones

Anyone know where they sell nice bulb anemones, the red or green, I would like to get one just live aquaria seems to be real expensive. Know of anywhere else that has any? Live Aquaria takes about 150 for a red on the Diver's Den and around 70 for a green.

You can sometimes find a clone of mine for around $100. Mine has only split 2x in 5 years.

Ya, Steve's anemone is nice. I think you got one of the splits from his didn't you Ron? Start feeding it more Steve and you will get more clones in 5 years :lol: They have them in Madison often I think too.

Well, if anyone has a split and wants to sell it for a fair price, let me know. My tank won't be ready for one for a while.

I do not want mine to split any more. Fighting one potential disaster now....add a roaming rbt.....no thanks. Bet the ones in Madison don't have the same coloration as the clones up here though. They tend to be a bit faded. Where the ones up are more rich and vibrant.

Up where, from Fosters? I think it all depends on your water levels and lighting/food/flow for them to color up nicely.

Actually feeding them too often will stress them and cause them to split from what i've read.

I agree....out of all the nems around...the northerners (which happen to be of the same momma) are much more vibrant and deeply colored!

So where can I get one of these northerners?

I am going to transfer 2 pieces of LR and 2 clowns today to my new 125. The yellow tang should be able to survive with maybe 30-35 pounds of LR in a 46 gallon for a while right? I can put some base rock pieces back in also from the new tank if it just needs rock in there.

I am just transfering 2 peices of the rock because it holds a hammer coral that the clowns like to host in.

It is in the genetics....hard to build color into a bta.
