bulb change time....

Ok, been running some inexpensive Zoo-med t5 bulbs in my 4 bulb fixture on my 47gal bowfront. Two 10000k and two actinic 420. Been using them for about 9 months now. Can definitely tell that things haven't been growing well or popping with color so it was time for a bulb change. Called up the local FS to see what they have in stock.

They have a new shipment of ATI bulbs in and I'm gonna bite and get a set. Thinking of getting two Aquablue Specials, one Blue Plus, and one Purple Plus. Gonna head out to pick them up in a little bit.

I'm wondering if this will be a good combo for the lobo brain I just got and the few small crags of softies I have.

Sounds good but it may be a little white, although that's what you kinda had before. If you want it a bit more blue you could go Blue+ Purple+ Blue+ Coral+...

Aquablue Specials are obsolete. Too harsh.

Get Two Blue plus, and one each of Coral Plus and Purple Plus. Will look better visually with the same PAR.

I had 2 AB+, blue+, and purple+ for the past few weeks. Was too white for me. Now I'm running what others recommend for the past few days and love it! 2 blue+, coral+ and purple+.
