Hello!
I hate to create another one of these threads, since I know they come up pretty much daily (or at least used to~). However, I don't think I've been to ReefCentral in almost two years because real life has been kicking my butt. I'm out of my stockpile of replacement T5 lamps and my bulbs are a month or two overdue for changing. I'm currently running 2xATI actinics, an ATI ProColor, and a Geisemann Aquablue+ on my tank (yes it's low light, but the tank is mostly softies).
I'm unhappy with the current color. It may be that the lights have burned in past their true color, but it's far too white for me; in fact, my Aquablue+ looks so yellow to me that it offsets the actinics and the ProColor and leaves the tank at "white with a blue twinge."
I may just be used to seeing the tank with actinics on. Densensitized to the blue.
Anyways, I was wondering if there was another combo I could go with that would up my blue tones I little without sacrificing PAR since I don't have a ton to spare. I've considered the following setup:
Actinics:
1xGeisemann Pure Actinic
1xATI BluePlus
Daylights:
1xGeisemann Aquablue+
1xATI Aquablue Special
I was hoping this setup would give me a little more blue without sacrificing a lot of light output. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking to move a little more away from the "5-15 meter range" and more into the "20-40 meter range" in color, if you follow.
Thanks, as always.
