Which is the bluest 10k at the 250 SE Series?

Choice i have are Aqualine 10k , Ushio 10k , XM 10k, or Hamilton 10k

thanks

reeflux 10k on an electronic ballast is a nice blue/white
out of the bulbs you listed on an HQI ballast none of them have blue in them....they're yellow-white

I have run boyh the XM and the ushio 10K and was more pleased with the XM (color and price) but right now I am running a no name brand(reef grow) 15K that I baught off e-bay and love the color I don't even need to run atinics it's so blue

I know your asking about 10k, but for those that want a whiter 10k really should look at the new 14k Ushio. It might fit your needs. A very white light.

The Reeflux 12K is a crisp white on a hqi ballast. I don't think you will find any true 10K's that will look very white on an hqi ballast. It drives the bulb harder than a standard m58 or electronic. You are probably going to have to go with a little higher kelvin bulb.

All these bulbs are white/yellow, I think you should consider Hamilton14k if you want a bluer bulb. I know this is not what you asked for, but this is my advice.
I gave up on 10kÃ"šÃ‚´s trying to find the bluest bulb... found the 14k and they look really nice. No need for actinics, even do I use them and IÃ"šÃ‚´m going to add 2 radiums.

Try this, I use 2 -20K 250 watt radiums on the HQI Ballast with 2 Iwasaki 250's on standard ballast side by side. turns out super bright blue / white. You get the best growth mixed with the bulb that gives the best color. Only way to get the best of both worlds. Before this I was using 14K Hamitons, color was great but the growth sucked.
