Bulbs?

Every bulb i use on my refugeium screws up my plants. Whats a good bulb you can use. Like a little screw on florencent because i dont want to spend too much money. Right now im useing a 5000k screw on florecent and its not working that great.

Try to find Lights of America bulbs. They burn at 6400-6500K

I tried to find the lights of america bulbs and i did (at home depot) but they all needed some sort of ballast. I went on the internet did some reasearch it seems 1 6500k bulb would be good for the light. Then after much trouble finding a 6500k self ballasted screw in bulb i found it at lowes and its made by GE. I put it in yesterday everyone is doubting me on it but i'll think it will work. Thanks for the tip!

FWIW..

I use a regular flourescent tube from Home Depot. Its 5500k bulb.

It works great! I have some serious growth in my fuge.
