Bulk head gaskets

My LFS sold me one 3/4" and one 1" bulkheads. No gaskets.

1. What gaskets should I buy?

2. Some people on here say gaskets go on water side. Others say flange side no matter which direction it faces. What's the real answer?

Bulkheads should come with gaskets. I'd return the ones you got from your LFS and get the correct ones. Gasket ALWAYS goes on the flange side. In most installations the flange side is also on the inside/wet side of the tank, but not always. That is the 'real' answer. If you look at how a bulkhead is made, I believe that would be obvious to most people.

Always on flange side (never on lock nut side) regardless of location (in tank or out of tank).
