Bulk purchase aragonite sand...

Friends of mine from the central oklahoma reef club COMAS, just bought a few pallets of sand from treeman and paid $7 per 40lb bag i believe. They paid $15 after shipping. I hear he has opened or changed his bussiness though and now gets $10 for 40lbs.

treeman only sells to people with a business license and a tax id. I'm checking with the store he sells to in south florida. $10 for 40lbs would great, because the transport cost would be cheaper from there. That would make the total cost less than the south carolina stuff. Details later when I get them.

i believe when i picked his sand up, i paid either $5, or $6 /40lbs bag

Treeman has a great reef sand, I drove down there a few months ago and came back with a 1,000 lbs of it. It is worth the trip, just make sure you wash it out really well.

Treeman doesn't sell to the public any longer. I contacted the store that sells his stuff and left a voice mail, since they're closed today. Hopefully tomorrrow I will know.

'dust' .... my friend who bought it said it clouded his tank ... after he washed the second batch of sand - it didn't anymore.

friend who added a few bags to his new 310g said that it needs to be washed really well ... REALLY WELL!

Yes it does need to be washed really, really, really well, but that was something treeman told me before I purchased it.
