bulkhead flow rates

setting up new system ,,need some info ,,if any knows please fill me in ,,,,,

1 " gph ??
1.5 " gph ??

I'll have to look at my notes, but I used 1 1/2" drain and a Mag 12 for a return pump - with a valve to reduce return gph. I'm estimating about 1000 gph.

During my research I found a chart with gph vs. hole size, let me see if I can find it.

a 1 inch bulkhead with a 1.25" hose (put in a small piece of 1" pvc and then 1.25" hose over that)can typically flow between 600 and 700 gph
Flow is mostly proportional to the cross sectional area

so a 1.5 inch bulkhead can fllow approximately 2.25 times as much as a 1"
