Bulkhead hole size?

This is what I have in my notes. I will be drilling a hole for 1" bulkhead this weekend with 45mm saw.
Hole saw sizes
1 1/8 inch 28mm saw for 1/2 inch bulkhead
1 1/2 inch 38mm saw for 3/4 inch bulkhead
1 3/4 inch 45mm saw for 1 inch bulkhead
2 3/8 inch 60mm saw for 1 1/2 inch bulkhead

It can also depend on the bulkhead. I would buy my bulkheads first then measure the gasket and drill for that. Also while your at it get Schedule 80 and not the cheap Schedule 40.

Get the bulkheads first. I have had 3/4 inch black aquarium bulkheads that took 1.5 inch holes and 1.75 inch holes, and I have had good heavy duty 3/4 inch bulkheads that took 2 inch holes.

There is no standard for bulkhead hole sizes, get the bulkheads or ask the vendor/manufacture and hope they do not change before they ship.

Again can't assume a set hole diameter to bulkhead size.

I just replaced my pump and changing the pipe size, drained the sump, cut out the old 1.5" bulkhead, go to put the new one just purchase and of course too big by about 1/8". There I am having to race across the city in the middle of rush hour to get one from a LFS that would fit (called first) before they closed for the day.

Can't assume.
